Why dimensions must be complete

Copper bars are often application-specific. Length and width alone do not define the finished part; thickness, hole pattern, edge condition and connection layout also affect fit.

Core specification fields

Use a dimensioned drawing wherever possible.

  • Material grade or approved material requirement

  • Width, thickness and total length

  • Hole diameter, spacing and quantity

  • Surface finish or plating requirement

  • Insulation, marking and packaging

Electrical design remains project-specific

Required cross-section depends on current, temperature rise, enclosure conditions, connection quality and applicable design rules. Do not rely on a generic current-to-size table without engineering review.

Approve the production reference

Confirm drawings or samples before volume production, especially when hole position, bending or insulation affects assembly compatibility.
